Young Children’s Ministry
Our Young Children's Ministry is one the best in all of College Park as we have well-qualified, safe, loving staff who teach GOD'S WORD through Bible stories, songs, crafts, activities & prayer. Each month the children in the Nursery, Sunday School and Junior Church will focus on a particular theme where they will be engaged in the teachings surrounding that theme. It is our goal, by teaching different aspects of one monthly theme each week, the children will gain a strong understanding of God's love through pivotal Bible lessons. We welcome your children to any of these opportunities. Click the button below to view a brochure about CPPC's Children's Ministry Program.

Nursery for Babies and Toddlers
Our babies and toddlers are stimulated cognitively, physically, socially, and spiritually through interactive play, music and Bible stories.  We offer a warm atmosphere with age-appropriate toys, decor and equipment that will please both parent and child.  We provide nursery care for all on-campus events including worship services, Bible studies and Sunday school.

Sunday School and Junior Church
The Young Children's Ministry offers Sunday School for those in pre-school through 5th grade.  This program starts at 9:30am in the children's classroom.

Junior Church is offered for those in pre-school through 2nd grade after the "Time with Children" message within the Sunday service.

Baby's Comfort Room
Baby's Comfort Room is a place where families can take their babies to soothe or feed during the worship service. A TV provides live video footage of the service so families can still be involved in worship.

Kids in Play
Attention all Moms and Dads, if you're looking for a great ministry that you and your little ones can do together, the Kids in Play Ministry is for you. Moms and kids meet at the church playground every Wednesday morning from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Don't miss out on the chance to spend time with other moms and dads and give the children an opportunity to play.

Children's Worship Bulletin
Each weekly bulletin provides quiet age-appropriate activities based on lessons from the church year calendar. It is aimed for those ages 3-6 and ages 7-12. This allows children to feel just as important as the "grown ups", receiving bulletins of their own. The usher will be distributing the bulletins before each service.

Children's Pew Packs
They are available in the back of the Sanctuary for children to borrow during worship services. These canvas bags are filled with Christian stories, coloring books, and quiet activities.

Wonders of Worship
A small prize will be given to each child under 12 who turns in a list of 3 key points from each sermon at least twice a month. The list must be dated and titled with each sermon and turned into the usher, Miss Sara or Miss Nancy F at the end of the service for "grading."

Junior Teaching Assistant
A child from 3rd - 5th grade may sign up in advance with Miss Rebecca for one Sunday/month to assist in Junior Church. Homework (such as pre-cutting crafts) may be required.

Parenting In The Pew
We have recently purchased two copies of the book Parenting in the Pew by Robbie Castleman. This book is an easy-to-read guide for parents to help children, from toddlers to teens, take worship seriously and participate in worship. The books are available in the church office to be checked out.

July/August Teachings
Each month the children focus on a particular theme where they are engaged in creative lessons surrounding that theme. It is our goal, by teaching different aspects of that theme each week, the children will gain a strong understanding of God’s love through the pivotal true Bible stories.

The Bible lessons surrounding both Abraham and Joseph focus on the idea that God wants us to have faith and make us better able to help others who are also going through hard tests. God is in control of all things and has a special plan He is carrying out in our lives. When hard things come into our life, we can get angry with God, feel discouraged or disobey His word. These attitudes show weak faith. But when we realize God is in control and we put our faith in Him, we’ll obey even though we don’t understand. He will provide strength and courage and all that is needed to get through.
